HOW DOES IT WORK?

Sterling Solutions provides an umbrella company which covers you as an employee and gives the added benefit of receiving business related expenses

  • You become classed as an employee of Sterling Solutions Umbrella Company Ltd and therefore receive full employee rights 
  • We then sub-contract your service to the recruitment agency 
  • We receive funds for the assignment 
  • To help make your income more tax-efficient, we process your pay based on the current National Minimum Wage 
  • From your income, we deduct our mark up and the statutory employee deductions such as NIC and tax whilst retaining holiday pay 
  • We then calculate your business related expenses which are then added to the remainder of your wage, these are calculated tax free 
  • If you do not claim expenses, you will receive a wage and a bonus which will be subject to tax and NI 
  • The benefit to you is that your income is more tax-efficient and you can claim legitimate business expenses whilst working on agency assignments 
  • Funds are then transferred to your account via CHAPS (same day transfer) at no extra cost. We will also send you a SMS notification message outlining the amount that has been credited to your account; this payment will clear by close of banking business, which can be up to 17.00 on the day.
